Melo Mind wants to train your brain to chill out

LAS VEGAS — The music playing in my ear is not pleasant, the headgear looks ridiculous, but the makers of myBrain Technologies insist their invention, Melo Mind, can help me chill out –- even among the madness that is CES 2015.
Unveiled here Sunday night, the Melo Mind headset reads neural activity and attempts to translate it in the language of music. The brain's waves are transmitted via Bluetooth to a connected app, which computes your level of stress and translates it into two kinds of music the company calls Relaxed and Distractor.
